Sharp Electronics VE-CG30U and VE-CG40U Driver. Installation instructions:

These driver files are for the Sharp Digital Still Cameras, models VE-CG30U and VE-CG40U.

Sharp does not provide an easy executable (.exe) file as part of their installation software, so installing the driver files may be tricky for novice PC users. Sharp uses the New Hardware Wizard to install the driver files. For best results, create a folder on your PC (I recommend naming it SharpDriverFiles) so you can easily find them, and download the driver files to this folder.

After you attach your camera to your PC and press the download button, your PC should detect the camera as a USB device, and the New Hardware Wizard opens. Select “Install from a list or specific location” and browse to the folder you downloaded the driver files to, then click next.

If you have no luck, for a minimal fee I can mail you an exact copy of the installation disk that came with the camera (includes driver files, user manuals, and the Direct-X, Sharp Quickfile Transfer and PixLab/PixLite software programs). For details, email garyashorn@earthlink.net.
